Road signs always take priority. School Street times come from Lambeth Council; street positions are from OpenStreetMap and not yet checked on the ground.

Closure times: Lambeth Council School Streets page. Term dates: Lambeth 2026-27. Street lines and map: © OpenStreetMap contributors. Each closure is the stretch of the named road within 150 m of the point nearest the school. Rows marked CHECK need a look in Street View.

Bus gates, streets closed to motor vehicles (including LTN filters), pedestrian zones and timed no-entry restrictions mapped in OpenStreetMap. None has been checked on the ground yet, so alerts say “check the signs”. After a drive, mark each one in data/lambeth/restriction_checks.json by its OSM number: true once you've seen the sign, false to switch it off. Timed restrictions on the 43 council School Streets use the council's times instead. File: restrictions.geojson

Speed limits come from TfL's London speed limit map (updated March 2026, combining Ordnance Survey, borough and OpenStreetMap records) wherever it lines up with our street map, and from OpenStreetMap elsewhere: treat them as a guide and let the signs win. Cameras come from OpenStreetMap, which is kept up by volunteers. TfL says London has over 800 fixed speed and red-light cameras; only the ones mapped in OpenStreetMap are here, so there will be gaps. Yellow box junctions come from TfL open data. Files: cameras.geojson · yellow_boxes.geojson

Bus lanes on Lambeth and TfL roads with their hours, direction of travel and who may use them: TfL Bus Lanes open data. GPS can't tell which lane you are in, so the app warns when you are on the road, travelling the lane's way, while it is in force. File: bus_lanes.geojson

Controlled parking zones and their hours: Lambeth Council CPZ timing zones. Boundaries are simplified to about 40 m, so near a zone edge check the signs. During controlled hours, single yellow lines mean no waiting and bays need a permit or pay-by-phone. Double yellow lines, red routes and bay signs always apply. File: parking_zones.geojson

Which app to pay with: Lambeth's street bays use PayByPhone (Lambeth parking bays; locations from Lambeth CPZ ticket machines). RingGo is used by car parks in Lambeth (ParkBee, estate and business car parks, the National Theatre, Sainsbury's), listed below from the RingGo parking locator; it may miss some. Next door, Wandsworth sells its street bays through RingGo: the bays near the Lambeth border from one South London search are included, so parking there shows RingGo and its code. Westminster, Camden, Croydon and Merton use RingGo for street bays too. Files: parking_apps.json · car_parks.geojson · pay_by_phone.geojson
